AU PAIRS

A professional Au Pair is someone who:

is trained and qualified to care for children

is able to take sole charge of the children

does not do housework unless it is with regard to the children

may live in or live out

takes meals with the children when on duty

organises and carries out the children's daily routine

provides stimulating educational activities appropriate to the age of the children in her care

may carry out household management tasks e.g. grocery shopping, paying bills, menu planning etc.

has driver's licence and own car

Tutor Box places only the very best Au Pairs. Our Au Pairs are screened in various ways to ensure their suitability for private childcare work and all Au Pairs have to provide at least two childcare references.

An effective Au Pair candidate must be at least 18 years of age, must have completed high school or the equivalent and be in good health. Tutor Box respects that training and experience varies widely among Au Pairs but a genuine respect for, ability with and devotion to children is considered essential by Tutor Box.

Any extra childcare qualifications such as first aid and life saving will be greatly valued by Tutor Box.
